Rautas River, the char paradise

Framed by majestic mountain walls, the Rautas River shows its best side.

At the source of the river, where it leaves the Rautasjaure Lake, the char and salmon trout gather in the evening to feast on the abundance of insects swept along by the current.

Seize this opportunity to become acquainted with one of the last currents where healthy stocks of mature char and salmon trout swim side by side.

whitewater rafting awaits you on the final day.

The tour includes fishing permits for the entire stay, a place in a boat or canoe and all transportation from the airport or railway station or an address in Kiruna C.

Rautasluspen, Basaksavu, 3- 6 days

By yourself along the Rautas River. We gather at the Kurravaara air
station for a briefing on fishing, campsites and safety regulations.

We will fly to the eastern part of the Rautasjaure Lake. We will then drift along the river to Basaksavu where we will be collected by helicopter for the return trip.

The tour includes a place in a boat or canoe, fishing permit and all transportation from the airport or railway station or an address in Kiruna C.
