Virgin wilderness

A pristine wilderness surrounds Jukkasjärvi and Kiruna. There are vast forests, magnificent rivers and silent lakes. There are mountains still unclimbed, paths little travelled and rocks that remain unturned. Nature is magnificent and grand and yet intimate and small. There is places for everyone to discover a corner of the world to make their own.

The early summer spring flood is the start of a brief but intense summer. The alluring scents of the deep forests fill the air from spring to late fall. In winter, the white blanket of snow reveals visits from neighbouring animals - a flock of reindeer, a moose cow with her calf and a wandering wolf. The wilderness is always present in Jukkasjärvi. When exploring the vast forests of Lapland you will discover the wild spirit of nature.
