In the area around Riksgränsen, Swedish Lapland, we will stay at Riksgränsen ski resort and at the Hukejaure Mountain Hut. We will start the ride from right outside the door. Riksgränsen is located in the Snow Belt and there will be snow up here, even if there is no snow left anywhere else in Swedish Lapland! The season stretches from early February until the end of May for snowmobiling and another three weeks in June for skiing. In late may you have daylight 24 hours a day thanks to the midnight sun. On the second day we ride to the Hukejaure Lake and Hukejaure Mountain Hut where we stay for two nights. Both Riksgränsen and Hukejaure are situated above the timber line, so here we are talking about real mountain riding; no trails, just free riding.
