Awaiting your arrival at the airport are teams of eager sled dogs ready to take you on a journey into the wilderness of Lapland. Travelling by dog sled is an exhilarating experience and when your team venture into the landscape darkness falls over Lapland. As you travel through the snow clad scenery you are surrounded by silence. Only the breath of your dogs and the sound of the runners against the snow can be heard.

Your destination is a remote wilderness camp where you are offered accommodation in log cabins. These are cosy and comfortable, despite the lack of electricity or running water. Enjoy a soothing sauna before dinner, and after the enjoyable meal your sleeping bag will provide a good night’s sleep.

The next day takes you to world famous ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi. On arrival a guide will introduce you to this spectacular hotel, built of 2000 tons crystal clear ice from the Torne River.

ICEHOTEL is more than a hotel – it is an experience, involving many breathtaking activities in the last true wilderness of Europe. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, dog sledding and snowshoe trekking – there are numerous ways to explore the magnificent scenery during winter. In the nearby town of Kiruna the world’s largest underground mine is open for tourists. Alternatively, a visit to the Sami people offers many interesting experiences. For those creatively minded, an exciting class in ice sculpting at ICEHOTEL will provide a challenge.

In the evening, dinner is served at the award winning ICEHOTEL Restaurant. After enjoying a few drinks in the cool ABSOLUT ICEBAR, the night is spent sleeping comfortably in a spectacular ice room or cosy cabin.

The next morning a quick transfer takes you to the airport and after waving goodbye to the wonderful world above the Arctic Circle you will be on your way home.
