This adventure will offer wildlife experiences in a scenic environment. At Kiruna Airport you are met by teams of sled dogs that will take you to ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi. Prior to departure the huskies are howling eagerly but as soon as the teams set off they quickly turn silent. It is an exhilarating experience travelling through the snow-clad landscape in the dusky light of the polar night.

The first night is spent at world famous ICEHOTEL which is built from 2000 tons of crystal clear ice harvested from the Torne River. Each year the hotel is built up from the ground and thus the hotel is always new and unique in its appearance. All ice suites carry the hallmark of a specific ice artist who has been invited by ICEHOTEL to take part in the creative process.

From ICEHOTEL you will travel to Tysfjord in northern Norway to take part in a breathtaking orca safari. This is a unique opportunity to experience these amazing mammals, also known as killer-whales, in their natural environment. The rich fauna and the unique arctic light provide many photo opportunities. No where else on earth will you be able see so many orcas swimming near the coastline. When the orcas slap their massive tail flukes onto the water, they force the herring up to the surface where the orcas are able to eat their meal with great precision. Weather permitting, brave spectators are allowed to jump into the water and swim together with the orcas. Warm clothing and a camera loaded with film is recommended for the safari!

While we cannot guarantee orcas will be visible on every journey, we can guarantee your memories of your adventures in Lapland and northern Norway will last a lifetime.
