Sofi Routsalainen

Sofi Routsalainen was born and raised in Kiruna, where the nature and wildlife are a great part of her life. Her relation to the mystics and animals in the wild are a constant inspiration visible in her art.

Sofi studied at the Sunderby Art School in Luleå and received her Bachelor of Art in Art Education in Stockholm 1988. She returned back to her roots in Lapland 1988 and has since then been working with her own art and as an art teacher, illustrator and ice sculptor.

Her work has been exhibited in Sweden, Alaska, Finland, Hungary, Ukraine, Pakistan and Turkey.
