Arne Bergh
Arne Bergh graduated from Konstfack, University College of Arts, Crafts & Design in Stockholm in 1980. With wood as his working material he has made sculptural works for exhibitions and was commissioned to carry out work for The Vasa Museum in 1990 and the Swedish Pavilion in World Expo, Seville 1992. He is also represented in schools and hospitals in Sweden.
In the 90’s Arne began focusing on Land Art, perhaps as a preparation for ICEHOTEL. During the following winters he came to ICEHOTEL together with Åke Larsson to sculpt, experiment, make new tools and try to find the limits of what these were able to do. “It was like a love affair with the ice and with winter”. Arne has worked full time at ICEHOTEL since 1996, he is currently the Artistic Director.
