Mikael Nilsson

Mikael Nilsson began working with ICEHOTEL in 1999. He is a specialist in the translation of computer graphics to the medium of snow and ice, using the CNC computer operated routing machine.

Mark Armstrong studied architecture and design at Oxford.
For the past 7 years he has worked in various areas of ICEHOTEL design and construction. Mark’s inspiration comes from nature, which he translates into contemporary snow and ice design.
