Luca Roncoroni
Luca Roncoroni is a trained architect in his home country Italy. He has been based in Norway since 2001 where he received further training and is now active as architect and designer. At ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi Luca has gained experience in diverse areas of the hotel
operations. He has participated in constructing the hotel and the ICE GLOBE THEATRE, in designing and building an ICEHOTEL SUITE, a De Luxe Suite and the ICE CHURCH.
In addition, he has collaborated with Minus Art Solutions, amongst other things in connection to the 2003 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. He has also been an invited artist at Snow Castle, Finland, and as head architect and producer of the ice work at the Gyro Event in Finse in the Norwegian Mountains. Luca also gives lectures at snow- and ice seminars.
Tjåsa Gusfors
In the world of Tjåsa Gusfors, theatre, music and art are three components deriving from the same source. They all interact in her work. She has been active as an artist at ICEHOTEL since 1999. In 2004/05 she was commissioned to design the ICE CHURCH. Tjåsa also makes sculptures for Ice-Gallery in Stockholm and is involved in private sculpting- and design projects where she sometimes collaborates with other ice artists and employers.
Tjåsa is interested in theatre and has been active as freelance set designer and puppet maker. In 1991 she founded Papagena Music & Theatre. She also acts as Creative Director for the traveling jester company Caravan Alterna Magica.
In 2006 she will be designing and constructing an ice and snow
cinema with a drive-in facility for snowmobiles at the Sámi
Film Festival in Kautokeino, northern Norway.
