Suite 321
Outside in
”In our suite we want to play with thoughts about inside
and outside and the line in between. A transparent border
divides the room into two corresponding spaces. Visually,
but not physically, the two are within reach of one another
through large ice windows. Viewers from the outside can
share a part of the room’s interior experience by
entering its large outer room, as the outdoor light dominates
the suite. Booth spaces offer a possibility to sit down and
reflect on how the hidden room continues.
A lit up band of ice runs across the ceiling through
both rooms and connects them.”

Johan Kauppi

Johan Kauppi is a designer who is interested in spatial form, interior design, architecture, illustration, photography, graphic communication and idea- and concept development. Johan grew up in the north of Sweden and has a passion for the pure and simple.

Nina Mårtensson
Nina Mårtensson is a designer of jewellery who favours silver and gold as working materials. However, she also works with ephemeral and untraditional materials such as pieces of plants. Just like ice, these have a limited lifespan which adds the extra beauty of enjoying the ephemeral. Nina grew up in the south of Sweden and has a background as sculptor and florist.

Both artists have earned Master degrees from the School of Design and Crafts at Gothenburg University in Sweden.
