Åke Larsson is the architect of the ICEHOTEL. While putting the final touches on this season’s hotel, he has already begun planning the design for 2008. He is also building a fence of corks to mark the boundary between his property and that of Arne Bergh, his best friend and neighbour. Saturated in his surroundings, Mark Armstrong lives life to the fullest. He received an education in architecture and design in Oxford. He enjoys sculpting ice and snow and discussing the sculpting of ice and snow. Mikael Nille Nilsson is a specialist on the CNC computer operated router, giving computer-generated graphics a life in the ice. He began working at ICEHOTEL in 1999.
