The 2007-2008 Ice Church pays tribute to the graceful little building block that is the basis for the entire structure itself – the snowflake. The symmetry of the snowflake is seen in the church itself, its balance and openness creating an inviting atmosphere for contemplation.

Australian artist and sculptor Julia Orlando Adzuki studied sculpture, art and wilderness at Victorian Collage of the Arts and University of Tasmania. Cindy Berg is a stylist from the Netherlands. American Mark Szulgit is an architect, designer and performer. Marjolein Vonk is a Dutch designer and stylist for stillphotography. Together they are a group of veterans that have collectively worked 28 ICEHOTEL seasons.
