Melted Geometry

Art Suite 313

Liliya Pobornikova and Viktor Tsarski, Bulgaria.

Squares, squares, squares; bulging squares, receding squares, warped squares, ice filled, snow filled, waffling… 443 squares in all. ‘Melted Geometry’ will test your equilibrium. Walking into this suite you realize all boundaries have been melted; are you moving or are the walls moving? Let go and enjoy the fuzziness, its fun!

Bulgarian sculptor Liliya Pobornikova and architect Viktor Tsarski once again bring their own combination of humor, mastery and energy to ICEHOTEL for the fourth consecutive year. Liliya works with several materials and has traveled extensively participating in Sculpture Symposiums. Her travels this year include China, Thailand, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, and Germany. Liliya’s most challenging project this year was working with wax in Thailand. Viktor has practiced as an architect since he completed his degree at the University of Architecture in Sofia, Bulgaria.
