Be prepared to squint as you enter Diamond Genesis, as the brilliance may blind you. Ice upon ice meticulously sculpted, snow walls chiseled in snowflake patterns. The suite is puncutated with an ice wall allowing the northern light to come shining through. Diamonds and ice; one forever, one so temporary, but each reaches in and delights our souls. Absorb the reflections as you rest upon your glistening ice bed.

One would never guess that Diamond Genesis is the first ICEHOTEL suite designed and built by French architect Antoine Weygand and French artist Roland Toupet. Their mastery of ice and snow is impressive.

ICEHOTEL looks for risky designers and always attracts risk-taking travelers. Let's hope this risk doesn't result in the theft of one of these spectacular ice diamonds. Then again, they look so real, but as we all know they will melt come spring.
