ICEHOTEL and skiing in the Swedish fjelds

After a transfer from the airport you arrive at ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi. Here you are offered a guided tour of the magnificent hotel on the shores of the Torne River, situated 200km above the Arctic Circle. Nor far from here, you'll find Ski resorts Björkliden Fjällby, Riksgränsen and Abisko.

The night at ICEHOTEL is spent in a spectacular ice room or in one of our cosy cabins and you wake up thoroughly rested. After a big breakfast a wide range of activities are on offer. Sled dog safari into the last wilderness of Europe, a visit to the Sami people or to the world’s largest underground mine. Or why not take a class in ice sculpting at ICEHOTEL? There is plenty to see and experience in the area. After a day full of activities you enjoy a delicious dinner at award winning ICEHOTEL Restaurant.

The next morning there will be time for a traditional hot sauna before breakfast. Afterwards it is time to say farewell to ICEHOTEL and depart on a journey by coach along the scenic Nordkalotten Road which takes you through the reindeer pasture-lands of the Sami people and the Abisko National Park.

Around noon you reach the fjelds on the border between Sweden and Norway. This high alpine area offers excellent skiing with plenty of off-pist options and peak trips. In the evening you can relax and enjoying a delicious dinner. The After Ski will provide many happy memories.

In the next morning a coach will take you to Kiruna Airport where you embark on your flight home.
