Sweden is the ninth most visited country in the world according to a new study published by Visit Sweden last week. The study, that was carried out among accustomed travellers with education and fairly high income in Europe and USA, showed that ICEHOTEL in Swedish Lapland is one of the destinations that travellers to Sweden preferably visit.
“I think that Swedish Lapland has a top-selling item”, says Kerstin Nilsson, Hotel director at ICEHOTEL. “Many of the values that are important to our visitors are present here – clean water, grand nature, silence, safety and the Right of Public Access which allows you to tent and camp almost anywhere.”
During summer night becomes day at ICEHOTEL as we bring our guests on river rafting, boat excursions and ice sculpting classes at midnight when the sun still shows above the horizon. The sister hotel in ice and snow, with three Art suites, ABSOLUT ICEBAR Jukkasjärvi and a place for ice sculpting has had 47 reservations already. And even drop-in guests can reserve cold accommodation at the counter.
Now we aim to make summer a strong product in Jukkasjärvi.
To spend a night in an Art suite starts from 750 SEK per person (including warm back-up accomodation). ICEHOTEL is open until 21st August.
