Summer acitivties

White water rafting on the Torne River
The rapids will give you an adrenaline kick that will make you forget your everyday troubles and trivialities.

Info: 30 km on the river, class 2 to 4 rapids, and a total drop of 80 metres. Not suitable for children under the age of 12. Includes transfer return to Jukkasjärvi.
Time: 9am to 2pm. Around four hours.
When: Mondays and Fridays.
Price: 1425 SEK per person.

In search of the Moose
We meet on Monday at 5pm for a introduction. On Tuesday the safari starts as early as 5 am. We are out for the first four hours in the forests surrounding Jukkasjärvi. In the evening we meet again for another four hour trip out in the woods.

Time: Monday 5pm - 7pm, Tuesday 5am - 9am and 7pm - 11pm.
Price: 1750 SEK per person.

SSV (Sid by Side Vehicle) safari
Ranger RZR is a two-seat four-wheel drive vehicle. Coffee/tea and sandwiches are served during the trip. Fishing equipment and license is included in the tour.
Time: Noon to 4pm. Around four hours.
When: Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Price: 1295 SEK per person seated two persons per ranger

Canoe trip on the Torne river
A canoe trip with our guide that will choose the route depending on the weather conditions after about 1,5-2 hours.

Info: Includes a lighter meal.
When: Thursdays.
Time: 2pm to 5pm. Around 3 hours.
Price: 1225 SEK per person.

Every day summer activities

A day in Lapland
By river boat we go upstreamsto one of our wilderness camps. During our journey we try out our fishing skills, and have lunch at our camp. Back in Jukkasjärvi we visit the the Sami open-air museum.

Info: River boat tour, fishing, lunch at a wilderness camp and admission to Nutti Sami outdoor museum.
Time: Daily 9.30am to 1.30pm and a museum visit on your own.
Price: 975 SEK per person.

Ice sculpting
There is plenty of the magical material, the crystal clear ice, in Jukkasjärvi even in summertime. With ice tools and guidance from our instructor you will enter the magic world of ice sculpting.

Info: Minimum age, 6 years
Time: 1-2 hours.
Price: 350 SEK per adult.

Esrange Space Center
Have you ever wondered what we do in space? A visit to Esrange Space Center, the operational facility of Swedish Space Corporation, will explain this.

Time: 09.15am to 1.15pm.
Price: Adult: 575 SEK, student: 525 SEK, children: 228 SEK.

Guests are expected to pay full replacement value or cost of repair for lost or damaged equipment, prior to their departure.

UGL – Leadership and Co-operation in Groups, 5 days

Course in Developing Leadership
Course dates (including reunion with overnight stay at ICEHOTEL): On request.
Course dates (including white water rafting with overnight stay in wilderness camp ACE): On request.
Price, winter: Course 11 500 SEK excluding VAT, boarding including 1 night at ICEHOTEL 7 000 SEK excludingVAT.
Price, off-winter: Course 11 500 SEK excluding VAT,
boarding including whitewater rafting and ACE with a night in a wilderness camp 6 000 SEK excluding VAT. Minimum of 8 participants needed.

Leadership Development
A ground-breaking new course that is aimed at managers and leaders of organisations and companies who want to develop their leadership abilities and grow in their role as managers. The course builds on the latest research and the application of leadership. Leadership Development is used as a model for leadership training by the Swedish Armed Forces and is a popular management and leadership course in industry and public administration.
Price: SEK 17,500 per person including two-day residential course, whitewater rafting and overnight stay in wilderness camp.

Safety in the Mountains 4+4 days
Course dates: On request.
Price: 6 000 SEK/per person.
Minimum of 4 participants needed.

Hunter's certificate
Take your hunter’s certificate under professional guidance. You receive thorough training in theory, shooting, safe gun handling and range estimation.
Price: SEK 8,900.

Shooting for Hunter's certificate
Train for the shooting section of the hunter’s certificate, under professional guidance. We use both shotguns and rifles. The course concludes with a demonstration in front of an examiner. Guns can be borrowed during the course. Ammunition included.
Price: SEK 5,900.

Practical hunting course
Once you have obtained your hunter’s certificate you can build on it with this two-day practical hunting course. Together with an experienced hunting guide you spend two days at one of our wilderness camps mainly hunting game birds and grouse.
Price: SEK 4,900.

Fly-fishing courses: Basic, Standard and Expedition
Basic course, 3 days, starting from zero.
We look at equipment choice, basic methods of casting and the art of reading the water.
Price: SEK 4,500.

Standard course, 2 days, starts off where the basic course ended.
We build on this with more hands-on fishing in lakes and flowing water. The emphasis here is on reading the water and presenting the fly as attractively as possible. You can take part in this course if you have your own equipment and already know how to set a fly a few metres out.
Price: SEK 3,000.

Expedition course,  4 days/3 nights.
This course is open to experienced anglers. Those with a generous nature may like to share their experience with anglers who have less experience. We leave civilisation behind and set off trophy fishing in the open sections of the Tavvaätno or Kaitum Rivers with one of our experienced guides. There are opportunities to catch large quantities of fish even for beginners, and perhaps a personal best for those with more experience. Guided drifting expedition in the wilderness.
Price: SEK 12,500.

Paddling in flowing water
With over 20 years’ experience of whitewater paddling we can teach you a great deal about how to navigate various craft through our untamed rivers. We use canoes, kayaks and inflatables to travel through white water and shoot the rapids. This is where you learn to tame the wild water.

Wilderness safty
Summer course, 4 days along the Torne River. You learn about lighting fires, bivouacking, orienteering and nature’s larder. We also look at the importance of maintaining good hygiene and the materials available in nature to do so.
