Fredrik Lewander has worked in advertising as an Art Director and Graphic Designer for over 17 years. Often in collaboration with the best photographers in the business. Fredrik bought his first real camera in 2003. Since 2008 Fredrik occasionally dare to call himself a photographer.
With a great interest in fishing, wildlife and life in the outdoors he is very pleased to be able to take pictures for clients such as Icehotel, Fjällräven, Primus, Naturkompaniet, Johan Broman and a couple of magazines such as the Swedish edition of FiskeFeber and the German outdoor-magazin.
A book about angling and anglers in the Swedish archipelago is on its way.
"When I go into the role of a nature photographer I try to let go of planning. That kind of images easily become stereotyped. Nature outperforms almost invariably your own imagination. Great images appear anywhere – at any time. Lightning, shapes, action, emotions... You just have to be abel to be there, se them and catch them."
