– It is extremely important for us to keep develop a culture where each employee’s potential is taken care of, so that they have the opportunity to continue to evolve and grow, both personally and professionally, says Christophe Risenius.

Big investment in development of the employer brand

Icehotel Academy educates new employees about culture, the brand and the company’s value proposition. It wasn’t just a change for the guests when the year-round part of Icehotel opened in December 2016 and made it possible to spend a night on ice and snow all year round. For Icehotel as an employer, the change required a greater focus to attract pertinent employees year-round. Icehotel has a strong consumer brand, which is know all over the world, but being an employer and a work place where the staff thrive and grow is just as important and something the new CEO Christophe Risenius is very engaged in.

– Our staff are the ones creating lifelong memories for our guests; they are our ambassadors and our most important resource. Right now, a development of our employer brand is underway and with an even more specific offer, we are able to position ourselves and become even better for both new and current employees in the future, says Christophe. He continues:

– We are investing in education for our staff, to give them the opportunity to grow in their roles. We are also actively working to continue to be a sustainable destination with an undeniable focus on nature and environment. For example, the year-round ice hotel is run on solar power. International work place Icehotel;is an international work place that attracts employees from all over the world.
