Celebrate a memorable midsummer North of the Arctic Circle surrounded by arctic nature, crystal clear ice and the warm rays of the midnight sun. Midsummer at Icehotel is about enjoying the peace, take a dip in Torne River, experience the midnight sun, and follow the Swedish tradition - pick seven kinds of flowers along the roadsides and the riverbank in Jukkasjärvi and put it under your pillow. You will then dream about the love of your life.
At Midsummer’s Eve we will serve a typical Swedish Midsummer Lunch Buffet at Icehotel Restaurant.
On Midsummer’s Eve, June 23, 2023, the Homestead Association in Jukkasjärvi organizes the traditional midsummer celebrations at the Old Homestead, which is only a 10-15 minutes’ walk from Icehotel. There will be a classic midsummer pole to dance around, live music and we promise that it will be a day filled with laughter and love. Among the classic tarred cottages, there are open grass beds to settle on, the Torne River flows slowly past and invites you to take a dip and we open the restaurant for coffee, sweets and lucnh during the day.

Troubadour will play in the restaurant at 4 pm and 8 pm*

A must during Midsummer is to visit the Design Suite A Midsummer Night's Dream and marvel at the combination of ice and Swedish summer flowers. The design duo Bernadotte & Kylberg were inspired by the Swedish midsummer in the creation of the suite.
