We are looking for guides to ICEHOTEL
Take the opportunity to work with one of Sweden’s internationally most famous brands. Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi draws guests and visitors from 80 countries every year. The hotel is a yearly and one-of-a-kind art project of ice and snow from Torne River; created by some 40 artists and designers from all over the world.

Work duties at the host department
You will guide groups in Swedish and English and perhaps a third language, plus inform our overnight guests about how to sleep in the cold. You will also work as a bus guide and follow our departing guests to the airport and meet up arriving guests.
You staff one of our 24-7 open receptions adjacent to Icehotel and are receptive to the guests’ wishes. The check-in and guest information happens here and you help distributing warm equipment like clothes, sleeping bags and offer luggage service. Your task includes sales of goods and commodities, handling equipment and you are responsible for creating a clean and welcoming environment for the guests.
The host department is also responsible for waking up the hotel guests, cleaning of Icehotel as well as ongoing maintenance like shoveling snow, slip-proofing and easier repairs.
We offer luggage service to our guests. Your task will be to take care of and transport luggage between transfers and different accommodations at our venue. For bigger groups, you will meet the guests at the airport for distributing pre-ordered warm clothes and luggage transportation to the guest’s accommodation.
This is a position within the experience industry towards international and Swedish markets and we are looking for you with the right mindset for guest service, with a good ability to work together with others and a sense of responsibility. It is very important that you are thorough, work well under pressure and flexible since the work is often intense and the conditions quickly change. The work is physically challenging and you need to be in good shape.
Swedish and English skills are required, other languages are qualifying. Swedish class B drivers license is a requirement since transportations are made with a light truck (Swedish vehicle class) and ATV.
German, Spanish and French are qualifying plus experience guiding big groups. Shift work with weekend work.
