Representing a change to the face of ICEHOTEL, "Slightly Off" tilts its square-ish head a couple of degrees as it welcomes visitors in from the biting cold.
Åke Larsson lives across the Torne River in Poikkijärvi, in a house that he built in his free time, when he wasn’t designing massive structures of ice or casting sculptures in magnetite. Despite being busy witht eh design and construction of six suites, the ICEBAR in Tokyo and this reception, Mikael Nille Nilsson is a pretty chillaxed kind of dude. When Sofi Ruotsalainen isn’t sculpting ice, she’s painting, taking pictures, or spending quality time with her children.
