Enjoy a northern lights tour combined with a wilderness dinner - inspired by the best seasonal ingredients autumn has to offer.
On this Northern Light dining experience you will keep your eyes open for the Aurora Borealis while having a taste of the seasonal delicacies. Together with a tour guide, a minivan will take you to a secluded wilderness camp, free from any kind of artificial light.
The Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis, is a natural phenomenon that appears during special weather conditions in the Arctic region, and Jukkasjärvi is scientifically proven to be one of the best places in the world to catch a glimpse of it. When you have arrived to the camp you will enjoy a warm aperitif in front of the fire and the guide will tell you about the northern lights and what causes it to occur. During the evening the guide will serve a three-course dinner inside a warm cottage where the menu is inspired by nature and the ingredients we have around us.
Hopefully, you also get to see the northern lights dancing in the sky since autumn is said to be one of the best periods of the year to spot really intense Northern Lights.
The tour is carried out by car and a short walk to the camp.
Booking Information
The Northern Lights Dinner is available from September to November. For all our tours that include food we need to know your diet restrictions or food allergies. Please fill in this information in the booking flow. At the activity day, we gather at Meeting point 15 minutes before start time, equipped and ready. Equipment
Your clothing is the most important part in order to be able to enjoy your activity to the fullest. We strongly advise you to dress accordingly to weather since a big part, if not all of the activity is held in an outdoor setting. Our guides have the right to deny anyone dressed wrongly.Included

Even though it is summer / early autumn it might be nice to dress warm underneath, preferably in thermal clothing and a warm hat.Tip
The weather in the Arctic can change drastically and suddenly. It can there for be nice to dress accordingly to the layer-on-layer principle, or to bring a bag with a change of clothes. It can also be nice to bring a camera for chances to take great photos during the tour.Keep in mind
You need to be minimum two persons for the tour to run. Please note that other guests can be booked on the same tour.SAFETY
