Northern lights
The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, occur when charged particles from the sun collide with atmospheric gases, creating vibrant displays. They are primarily visible in polar regions, as the Earth's magnetic fields direct the particles to the poles. In the Southern Hemipshere, they are known as Aurora Australis.

Midnight sun
Summer in Jukkasjärvi means 24-hour daylight. As the sun never sets, the nights are as bright as the days between mid-May and mid-July. The midnight sun invites you to stay up late and bathe in its golden light. Why not go fishing on the Torne River, enjoy a sauna ritual in the midnight sun.

At ICEHOTEL you can experience exciting arctic activities year-round. Each season has its own charm. In summer a lot of activities are centered around the Torne River. We offer boat and fishing tours, as well as our exciting Torne River rafting tour.
