Your adventure begins at ICEHOTEL, where a photography guide from Scandinavian Sami Photoadventures picks you up. Together, you head out into the surrounding wilderness by minivan, exploring the natural landscapes and learning how to capture their beauty. Along the way, you’ll get familiar with your camera and practise photographing the world around you before setting out in search of wildlife and other captivating subjects.
Whether you’re using a professional camera or simply your smartphone, your guide will share tips and techniques to help you capture the best of your surroundings.
The northernmost part of Sweden is shaped by eight distinct seasons, each bringing its own colours, light and natural wonders. Depending on the season and weather conditions, you may encounter Arctic wildlife such as moose, reindeer and birds, or discover the beauty of the vast forests and open landscapes. With guidance from your photography expert, you’ll learn to capture the details, atmosphere and unique character of the Arctic wilderness – creating lasting memories of your time in Swedish Lapland.
BOOKING INFORMATION
A memory card is not included. Bring your own SD memory card of at least 32 GB or buy it on-site for a cost of 250 SEK.
At the activity day, we gather at Meeting point 15 minutes before start time, equipped and ready. Please note that you as a guest are personally responsible to visit Riverside Lobby well ahead to get equipped.

Your clothing is the most important part in order to be able to enjoy your activity to the fullest. We strongly advise you not to underestimate the cold in the Arctic during the winter months and to carefully follow our recommendations regarding clothing and equipment. Our guides have the right to deny anyone dressed wrongly or too cold to join the tour.
INCLUDED
It is mandatory to wear warm clothes that are adapt to arctic weather. Loan of warm winter overall, warm shoes, gloves, and balaclava is included for you as a guest to this tour. Visit Riverside Lobby well in advance to get equipped.
REQUIRED TO BRING
Dress warm underneath, preferably in thermal clothing, a warm middle layer, and hat.
Please note that children under the age of 13 can not use the cameras provided by us, but can use their own phones or cameras.
We can’t guarantee that you will see wild animals during the tour, the guide will do his/her best to find the perfect spot to photograph them.
We have Arctic weather which means that we during winter have extreme temperatures and short daylight hours. In winter, temperatures in Jukkasjärvi can drop down to as low as -40 C (-40 F).

We therefore reserve us the right to deny anyone with a severe medical condition or physical limitations to join our activities, if we feel that it is a risk of safety.
