About the art suite
“Hideaway” is made completely out of ice and snow. It is a natural, quiet and peaceful place. A cave, a shelter, a protected space where you can retreat.
Here, time and space meet. At first you see a white void, and then large stone-like shapes appear. Shapes that rest shoulder to shoulder, or balance on each other and find an equilibrium.
With so many things going on in the world, this is a place where one can come to a standstill and just be.

About the artists
Pieke Bergmans is a Dutch artist born in 1978. She works with materials such as glass, clay, steel and plastic amongst others. She has studied art in both the Netherlands and in the UK. Her work is part of major public exhibitions at museums, fairs and institutes all around the globe.
Peer de Wit is a contractor, construction worker and craftsman born in 1974 in the Netherlands. He is a skilles craftsman with a lot of experience. Him and Pieke have been working together for quite some time, since she designed an art suite for Love Hotel Tokyo, in Japan
