About the experience room
Borrow an ICEHOTEL cape and step into the cold
Just like all of the art suites and other areas of the hotel, the Experience Room is made entirely of ice and snow and is open to visitors both summer and winter.
In the Experience Room, visitors follow ICEHOTEL's history through works created by artists Marjolein Vonk and Maurizio Perron, both long time collaborators with ICEHOTEL.
Among other things, guests will be guided through ICEHOTEL's 30-year history along a timeline, view selected pieces of art that have been preserved from previous year and get to know ICEHOTEL's founder, Yngve Bergqvist, who appears in a personal film portrait. All in sub-zero degrees and all in snoww and ice.

Marjolein Vonk is an art director and set stylist for film and photograpy, based in Amsterdam. You can also admire Vonk's work in the Deluxe Suite' bathrooms in ICEHOTEL 365 as well as on the Veranda.
Maurizio Perron is a sculptor based in Jovenceaux, Italy. Perron has also designed the lark wood basins in the Deluxe Suites' bathrooms and the interior on the Veranda, together with Marjolein.
Both artists are skilled sculptors who have been working at ICEHOTEL for many seasons throughout the years.
