About the art suite
In the art suite "A Break" you will meet human sculptures acting inside and outside ice bubbles. You are also welcome to the Bubble Therapy Corner, where you experience the interior of an ice bubble. When exiting the bubble you have symbolically broken through one or two of your limitations, and the bubble therapy is completed.
When entering into the suite you will first meet a lady in a big bubble of ice. It is a block of ice that has been hollowed out so that the hollowed out section looks like a hologram, or more accurately, a void. On the wall behind her you see three people breaking out of their bubbles.

About the artists
Lena Kriström is a sculptor living in Jukkasjärvi, and has been sculpting at ICEHOTEL since the beginning. She sculpts in a variety of materials, including snow, ice, stone and magnetite from the iron ore mine in Kiruna. In her spare time she enjoys cross-country skiing with her puppy Rask.
Nina Hedman is a sculptor and art teacher who lives in Stockholm. She works with lots of different materials and her favorites are ice and snow. When not working she enjoys playing tennis and reading books.
