Restrictions: To drive a snowmobile on our excursions, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid car drivers license. Otherwise, you are welcome as a passenger.

Do you want to leave the stress of everyday life behind for a while, and participate in a genuine nature experience? Join us on an overnight extraordinary adventure in the arctic wilderness!
Joined by an experienced guide you set off on snowmobile across frozen water, vast marches and through snow-covered forests with Camp Pounojokki as your destination. The camp is located along the Torne River and consists of three rustic cabins and a wood-fired sauna. Here, beyond electricity and cell phone coverage you get to experience the true arctic wilderness!
When you arrive you help your guide to prepare the camp for you overnight stay: You carry food and water, make a fire in the stove, and prepare everything for the rest of you stay.
For dinner you gather around the heart of the camp: The campfire! Your dinner will be based on local ingredients and cooked over the open fire. You are more than welcome to help with the cooking as well if you want to. After dinner the sauna is ready to warm you up after a long day outside. Warm, full, and satisfied you will sleep well in the cozy cabin.
On the second day we begin with breakfast and then you are ready for another active day in nature!
What the second day entails depends on the weather, but in general you will start the day with a morning hike on snowshoes. During the hike you have a chance to see wild animals, or just enjoy the quiet, untouched nature. Followed by a warming lunch, either back at the camp our out in the forest, we pack up the camp and once again set off on our snowmobiles. Your guide has laid out a good route for your specific occasion and on the way back you will stop at a suitable watercourse or lake to try ice fishing!
After a full day out in nature you return to Icehotel with lots of new experiences and memories to last a lifetime!

Your clothing is the most important part in order to be able to enjoy your activity to the fullest. We strongly advise you not to underestimate the cold in the Arctic during the winter months and to carefully follow our recommendations regarding clothing and equipment. Our guides have the right to deny anyone dressed wrongly or too cold to join the tour.Included
It is mandatory to wear warm clothes that are adapt to arctic weather. Loan of warm winter overall, helmet, warm shoes, gloves, and balaclava is included for you as a guest to this tour. Visit Riverside Lobby well in advance to get equipped.Required to bring
Dress warm underneath, preferably in thermal clothing, warm socks, a warm middle layer, and hat. The guests bring their own change of clothing and toiletries for the overnight stay.Keep in mind
There is no Wi-Fi or electricity here, a perfect moment to unplug and relax during your vacation. We have Arctic weather which means that we during winter have extreme temperatures and short daylight hours. In winter, temperatures in Jukkasjärvi can drop down to as low as -40 C (-40 F).SAFETY
