About the art suite
A tribute to Walter: Get ready to travel back in time and to experience the geometric shapes, rounded furniture, lines and stripes. Founded by architect Walter Gropius, BAUHAUS was a school that became famous for its approach to design, which attempted to unify the principles of mass productions with an individual artistic vision and strove to combine aestetics with every day function.
The Bauhaus style later became one of the most influental trends in modern design, modernist architecture and art.
In German "bau" means building and "haus" means house. Translated into a jukkasjärvi version, we keep "bau" and just add the "ice".

About the artists
Luc Voisin is a French landscape and interior designer, located in Lyon, France.
Mathieu Brison is a multifaceted creative with experience in urban planning, architecture, design, expert architect for a television program, scenography and artistic direction of events.
Voisin and Brison have been a duo in design and production of ephemeral art as part of international festivals and for ICEHOTEL since 2013. With everything from private clients to big companies, their field is wide and the pleasure is renewed with each experience.
