About the art suite
The pencil is a fundamental instrument in an artist's toolbox. Simple yet versatile, there is much potential for creativity - from swift sketches to exquisite pictures and everything in between. With every mark made, a picture develops and puts forth a peek into the creator's ideas and imagination.
This suite celebrates the pencils and brings its familiar form into focus. Ordinary details sich as the pencil's hexagonal barrel, graphite core, sharpened tip, and eraser end are reimagined.
The artists invite you to lie down inside the pencil case. As you unwind, become the pencil and let your imagination run free. With a touch of ingenuity and inspiration, who knows what wonders you might dream up?

About the artists
Edmund Chan is a passionate snow and ice sculptor who has participated in, and won multiple awards at snow sculpture competitions for the last 10 years. He is an art technician at Tanglin Trust School in Singapore.
Taitien Tan is a professional paper maker at STPI - Creative Workshops & Gallery, where he collaborates with artists to push the creative possibilities of fine art print and paper.
Having worked closely as fine art collaborators in Singapore, they seek sculpting opportunities in wintry destinations and enjoy the contrast to Singapore's tropical climate.
