About the art suite
Galanthus nivalis - Snowdrop - the flower that defies the snow and tells us that spring is on its way. The snow is deep but soon spring is here and snowdrops and crocuses emerge from the snow when the sun returns. Giant snowdrops strive for the light along with glittering grape hyacinths and sheer grass straws. In this suite, the visitors enounters spring in macro format. Large spring flowers hang from the walls and emerge from the snowcovered floor. This creates a feeling of being in the midst of a spring meadow.

About the artists
Ida Mangsbo is a Swedish landscape architect based in Gälve, working for Skoog Arkitekter. As a landscape architect she mainly works with designing public spaces. This is Mangsbo's fourth suite at ICEHOTEL, again pairing up with Julin.
Elin Julin is a Swedish lanscape architect in Linköping, working for Sweco. Julin got hooked on ice sculpting while finishing her master's degree at ICEHOTEL, and this is her ninth time travelling to Jukkasjärvi to participate in ice projects, and her fourth suite created together with Mangsbo.
