About the art suite
“The Other Side” asks a simple question: What if the roles were reversed? Instead of guests observing light, light becomes the storyteller, flowing through snow and ice to shape the experience. Thousands of perforations of different sizes, depths and angles allow warm light to enter, creating shifting patterns across the room. Beyond the glowing wall lies another world, the future, or simply hope – the answer is left to each guest.
The room unfolds through a dark entrance, a narrow transitional passage and a luminous main space. An organically carved ice bed merges with the illuminated wall and organic snow-like ribbons.
About the artists
Milosz Matelski is a product and surface designer and consultant for the interior design industry. He is experienced in trend watching and product development. He is a design speaker, where he educates and talks about materials and interior elements in the context of design history. He is into architecture, design history and astrophysics.
Thomasz Czajkowski is an interior designer. He has been running his own design practice since 2005. He designs public, private and religious interiors. He also designs furniture. Thomasz has been cooperating with ICEHOTEL since 2010. In his private lite, he takes care of the garden, dances tango and paints portraits.
